How and when did you decide, or discover, that you were to be a writer?
I have been writing various things nearly my whole life, although I began to indulge myself in novels, stage plays, and different types of writing when I reached retirement age.
What inspired you to write flash fiction?
I enjoy the discipline of flash fiction; capturing a moment or an event in a constrained number of words.
Describe your writing process.
I usually like to start with a few thoughts or sentences scribbled onto a scrap of paper that then becomes the start of my writing. Although I enjoy re-writing more than original writing because my original writing can be refined, embellished, and revised to say more precisely what I wanted to say when I began.
What was the inspiration behind what was published on FewerThan500.com?
Trying to contain a thought or image that occupied my attention in 500 words or less.
What are you working on now?
I am finishing my third full-length play, and I am hoping to sell an action/adventure novel I wrote previously to a movie producer.
